Broadway Bops

“Broadway Bops” host Charles Simmons is a sophomore studying Elementary Education K-8 Licensure. He has been with the station for three semesters. Simmons’ interest in musicals inspired the theme of his show, in which he plays some of the best songs from musicals, some examples of this include “Beetlejuice” and “Wicked”. 

“I think having a radio show is a really fun and once in a lifetime opportunity to have. So that’s why I decided to do WNEC,” Simmons said. 

Simmons also stated that he would like to have his own educational radio station when he is teaching at a school when he is older. 

Broadway Bops runs from 3-4pm every Saturday.
